Fellas:
I offer to you one of the finest black powder express rifles I have ever owned. Ingram of Scotland is a relatively unkown maker who produced a very fine product. This .500 bpe is on the 3-inch case and has the standard Jones patent under lever action, exposed hammer with the desirable rebounding feature. The wood would be at home on the finest Holland and Holland Royal and the stock sports a cheek piece. 28-inch barrels with excellent bluing and excellent bores. Pull fits me at 14 3/4". Probably made for 136 grains (5 drams) of C&H no6 powder and a 340 grain bullet, she shoots very well with the modern version of the nitro for black load of 55 grains of IMR 4198 and a 440-grain cast bullet sized to .510". This is as fine as an old double gets, is an antique so I can send directly to you if leagle to own in your area, and will include some brass and bullets to get you started. As with anything I sell, payment over time is fine but lay-a-way sales are final. I will pay the postage to your US door however should you return it within three days of unfireing inspection postage both ways is your responsibility. My price to your door is SOLD One small area of pitting, about the size of a pencil eraser, on the right of the action by the hinge pin. Sling eyes.
